EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING AT WORK

From a Bioneuroemotion® point of view, it is understood that stress in the workplace can be related to unconscious emotions and beliefs that affect our perception and response to work situations.

Stress is a common reality in the workplace, and how individuals manage it can vary significantly. How we react to the same stressor is influenced by a number of factors, including individual perception and personality

Here are some tools from this perspective for dealing with stress at work:

Emotional self-awareness: Identify emotions that arise at work and try to understand what situations or thoughts trigger them. Acknowledging and accepting emotions will enable you to manage them more effectively.Observe how you react to different work situations and reflect on the emotions that arise. Ask yourself: Why do I feel this way? what beliefs may lie behind these emotions?

Awareness of limiting beliefs: Examine unconscious beliefs you may have about work, such as “I need to be perfect” or “I need to be consistently appreciated”. These beliefs can increase stress and create unrealistic expectations.

Listen to your body: Pay attention to physical signs you may be experiencing from stress at work, such as muscle tension, headaches or digestive problems. These signals may be indicators of unexpressed emotions.

Practice active listening: In communication situations with colleagues or superiors, make sure you actively listen and understand the perspective of others. This can reduce misunderstandings and unnecessary conflicts. Learn to accept and express your emotions in a healthy way. Don’t repress your feelings, as this can lead to internal tensions and emotional imbalances. Find appropriate times and safe environments to express how you feel, either with a trusted partner or through an emotional journal.

Challenge your negative thoughts: If you are experiencing recurring negative thoughts, such as “it’s too hard” or “I can’t cope”, STOP FOR A MOMENT! question them and look for evidence that supports or contradicts these beliefs.

Positive visualization: Practice visualizing work situations where you feel calm and confident. Imagine how you would like to react to challenges and how you would like situations to develop favourably.

Learn to let go of control: Recognise that you can’t always control every situation at work. Learn to let go of control and trust your abilities to handle whatever comes your way.

Emotional Therapy or Accompaniment: If you feel that there are deep-seated emotions and work situations that are difficult for you to manage, consider seeking support from a therapist or professional who specializes in Bioneuroemotion®

Build an attitude of gratitude and acceptance: Be grateful for the positive aspects of your work and focus on what you value and what makes you feel good about your work environment. Stop for a moment and review those things for which you feel grateful.

Find purpose in your work: Connect with the deeper purpose of your work and how it contributes to the well-being of others or to your personal goals. This can give you more meaning and satisfaction in your work.

Remember that Bioneuroemotion® is based on the connection between mind, body and emotion and seeks to understand how our past experiences and beliefs influence the way we experience and perceive the world of work. Using these tools will enable you to cope with stress at work in a more conscious and constructive way.

In short, emotional wellbeing in the workplace, from a Bioneuroemotion® perspective, reminds us that we are all the same, carrying our own emotional backpack. However, by cultivating love and compassion for ourselves and others, we can transform our working relationships and create a more empathetic and positive work environment. Let’s remember that our emotions connect us all, and from this connection we can build a more harmonious and rewarding working environment for all. let’s empower ourselves through love and compassion to improve our emotional well-being at work!
